Give with Heart Day is the Heart Foundation’s annual 24-hour fundraising challenge that rallies supporters throughout Australia to raise money to help the Heart Foundation fund heart disease research. 

This year, Give with Heart Day will take place on Wednesday 14 September 2022. Donate to Give with Heart Day on or before this date and your donations will be doubled* by the Heart Foundation’s major supporters. This means every $100 will become $200. Together we can help fund life-saving research that keeps so many families together.

Donors who contribute to the first $235,000 raised as part of Give with Heart Day 2022 will have their donation matched by Heart Foundation major supporters (these supporters are listed on the supporter board on the Give with Heart Day website). 

The theme for this GWHD is making this the day you help save a life. More Australians die from heart disease than from any other cause. By donating this Give with Heart Day you can double your impact by funding lifesaving heart research and make this the day you help save a life. 

In order to amplify our 24-hr fundraising challenge, increase awareness and encourage participation in Give with Heart Day we will once again partner with Channel 7 and their breakfast and morning TV shows on Wednesday 14 September 2022. With their support we can help Australians understand the importance of heart health and how they can help to save a life. 

Additionally, we will have nationwide radio broadcasts, social media content and our dedicated Give with Heart Day website. 

In the lead up to Give with Heart Day we will also be telling authentic and heartfelt stories from everyday Australians and researchers, as well as high profile Australians, to reinforce the emotional connections to the essential work the Heart Foundation does.

Hero ambassador:

Jon Stevens 

Aussie rock icon, Jon Stevens, is no stranger to the national stage. For decades, he’s performed to sell-out crowds as a solo artist and as the lead singer of legendary bands including Noiseworks and INXS.​ 

In 2008, heart disease almost took his life, but a routine health check-up found an anomaly in his heart, with tests later revealing that his arteries were blocked: one of them 99.9%.  ​ 

Reeling from the shocking news, the seemingly fit and healthy rocker immediately underwent double heart bypass surgery. ​ 

Jon is a touring musician at heart and believes in enjoying the rock and roll lifestyle in moderation. He gives care to his underlying heart concerns by staying fit on the road and leads an active, healthy lifestyle. ​ 

2022 marks a new chapter, it was 35 years ago that Noiseworks formed by Jon and Stuart ‘Chet’ Fraser, and to mark the anniversary and in honour of Stuart, Jon Stevens and newly reformed group Noiseworks will release ‘Heart & Soul’ on 15 August. ​ 

And this September Jon joins the Heart Foundation as Ambassador for Give with Heart Day, to help raise awareness of heart disease: Australia’s number one killer.

Mark Robinson (Robbo) is an Australian sports journalist and open-heart surgery survivor. He is the chief football writer for Melbourne's Herald Sun newspaper, appears on the 1116 SEN radio station's pre-match Australian Football League discussion and co-hosts Fox Footy's AFL 360 television program. 

Celeste Barber: 

With more than nine million followers on Instagram alone, Celeste Barber is undoubtedly one of the most influential Australians on social media. Aside from this, her efforts to raise money for not for profits in Australia is extraordinary.​ Celeste will support the campaign using her social channels to promote Give with Heart Day.
